Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus

*Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity* is a memoir written by **Nabeel Qureshi**, a former Muslim who converted to Christianity. The book is a powerful account of his spiritual journey and the struggles he faced as he transitioned from Islam to Christianity. It chronicles his search for truth, exploring both Islamic and Christian beliefs with intellectual honesty and a deep desire to find answers to life’s most profound questions.

### Key Themes in the Book:
1. **Religious Identity**: Qureshi begins the narrative by sharing his deeply rooted Muslim upbringing, including his devotion to Islam and the values instilled in him by his family and community. His devotion to Allah is evident, and he views Islam not only as a religion but as a central part of his identity.

2. **Intellectual and Spiritual Journey**: As he encounters Christianity, Qureshi seeks to critically examine the Christian faith through intellectual debates, personal study, and conversations with Christians. His journey is marked by a quest for truth, driven by his deep respect for reason and evidence. He engages with Christian doctrines, particularly the divinity of Jesus and the concept of the Trinity.

3. **Relationship with Jesus**: Throughout his exploration, Qureshi grapples with the Christian belief in Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity. He initially struggles to reconcile this idea with his understanding of God in Islam, where the concept of Jesus as divine is considered blasphemous. Over time, however, he experiences a personal transformation, coming to recognize Jesus as a central figure in his faith.

4. **Challenges of Conversion**: Qureshi describes the emotional and relational challenges of his conversion, especially with his family. He writes candidly about the personal sacrifices, including the pain of losing relationships, the rejection from his Muslim community, and the conflict within his heart as he makes the decision to follow Christ.

5. **Faith and Testimony**: Ultimately, *Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus* is not only a story of intellectual pursuit but also a testimony of faith. It demonstrates the power of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the transformative nature of embracing a new faith.
